I reformatted my computer following these steps, now my hard drive is completely full. It is a 160G hard drive and I should have, at the very least, half of it left. Did it just copy the files onto the hard drive again and how do I change it back to factory??

Reformatting wipes the hard drive & leaves it blank. Which steps are you talking about?

I found the problem; a back-up program that was on the boot disk had used all of my hard drive. I deleted the program and folder and now my drive is back to normal.
