Hello, my desktop still uses Windows XP Professional. How do I prevent Guests from accessing partitions I have created? I know in Windows 7 there is a security tab, but I am not getting that tab in windows XP. Any Guest can go into My Computer and click into any drive and view my folders and files.

Right click on the drive concerned and select properties. From there select security and you can change permissions from there.

Did you read the part of my post where I said that security option is not available?

Well you are no using XP Professional then or you are not logged on as an administrator or you are using XP Home where the procedure is totally different. The procedure I described is available on every version of XP Professional I have ever used.

I am logged in as admin on windows XP Professional and the security tab is not there. I have Windows 7 on my laptop where that option is there.
