Ghost error

Specs: Windows XP
Hi there,

I am trying to make ghost bootable dvd which will copy the image to first partition. I created the bootable dvd. It boots and while running the ghost command

ghost.exe -clone,mode=restore,src=X:\myimage.gho,dst=1:1 -fx -sure

It give the error.

ABORT: 580, Unknown Keyword: SRC

Any help would be highly appreciated.

You don't copy images to any partition. You reimage the drive. If your image has one partition then you will have just one when you reimage. It is whatever is on the image that decides the partition(s) layout

As said previously, you cannot save an image of a partition to
the same partition.

But, if you have 2 partitions, you can for example, save the C
to the D of the same drive.

If you needed to restore, you would boot up a ghost dvd, then
browse to the D partition to restore the C

Or better still, get Paragon drive image free.

Pretty sure a switch needs a dash before it.

Try -src

My problem has been solved by using the command below.

ghost.exe -clone,mode=pload,src=X:myimage.gho:1,dst=1:1 -fx -sure
