I need that so that I can install the CD-ROM driver(which is on floppy).
Right now I have a black screen. I have used the Windows Setup floppy to get me here, then went to D drive to see that is where the files are now loaded.

While still on, I took out the Windows setup floppy and put in my CD-ROM driver; then I typed A:
then dir
then instal~1(as that was the exe file). It was not happy with MSCDEX 2.22 and basically told me to get DOS 6.0 or better.

so on another computer I downloaded DOS6.0 and then removed the CDROM driver disk and put in the DOS disk and typed in dir.
I then typed in Boot600 (which was the exe file)

"This program cannot be run in DOS mode"

Where did I go wrong?

Should I have done a cold boot with the DOS disk in the drive instead?

whatcha gonna dew

I, like mickliq, am wondering what your goal is. That would be relevant information, I should think, no?
