I am immensely thankful for the trouble you have taken to help me. It is just not a folder access problem. Folder Access Free is a third party program, which I have downloaded and kept some folders under lock. In the meanwhile, I have tried by trial and error method to open the folder. What I did was that I have extracted the files in the folder locked by using WINRAR. After extraction, I have opened the files. Now I have copied these files to another new folder, which are free for opening any time. This may also be helpful for some friends. Thanks again.

Nice work T S Rao, would have been interesting to see if freeCommander could read those locked folders.
