find good restore point in dos prompt

February 28, 2011 at 16:43:15
Specs: Windows XP
System booting up with "NTLDR missing press Ctl-Alt-Del to restart." Copying NTLDR and NTdetect from XP CD didn't fix. Fixboot & fixmbr didn't help. Any other ideas would help. How about a good restore point from DOS?

Might be possible to use bartsPE to access restore point. The problem is that usually involves a working system. For some reason you can't boot to a normal system.
