Specs: Windows XP pro 64bit, Intel Quad Core 2.40ghz/512MB
Hi, everyone
I have met this problem about reinstallation of XP, the story:
Some days ago, i was using one online TV S/W, when it cause my old PC no response, after waiting more moments, i decided to reboot manually. Then unpleasant result..
It failed to reboot and BSOD happened, it said stop:c000021a unknow hard error, then i had to reboot by force.
Then i formated the whole disk and decide to reinstall my OS, after the process finished, I can enter the OS, but after installing the drivers, such as sound card, graphics card etc.
After i reboot, i can't enter the OS any more. Then the thing waiting for me is force me to reinstall OS AGAIN.
Well, just continue to reinstall. I thought the process will be ok ,installed drives and during the reboot, BSOD, It said physical memory dump complete.
Jesus Christ!Make me CRAZY!

Appreciate any help for this case!

PS:The reinstallation of XP and the relevant drivers was normal before and i can reinstall the OS successfully with the same method above.
I checked the HDD, it is working.

✔ Best Answer
................................ click the word "order" in #1

"...The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe
fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes
has stopped, it stops the system and raises the STOP 0xC000021A error.
Also occurs because of a faulty third-party Graphical Identification
and Authentication (GINA) DLL. The GINA is a replaceable DLL component that
Winlogon.exe loads. The GINA implements the authentication policy of the
interactive logon model. The GINA performs all identification and
authentication user interactions.

Ok, many thanks for your help. I will have a check.
Someone said there is something to do with my PC memory, is that true?
In addititon, the link form windows just refers to receive an error message when you try to install Windows XP updates from the Windows Update Web site. Are u sure it's my case?

Have a nice day!
