Is this what you're looking for? https://support.toshiba.com/support...

Doing the best I can here... And remember, there's always more than one path to success. :)

How about telling us why you want to go to such an extreme? There may be an easier way to fix whatever problem you're having.

And do be very ware that the drastic step of a factory reset/restore - will - erase all your personal files etc. So if you "must" go that route, first ensure that all those important (to you) files are safely duplicated elsewhere off the system entirely. Typically to to DVD at least; but "ideally an external hard drive" and maybe also to DVD as well (especially photos...).

This lap top I have had for years and all of the important information has already been taking off, but it is the only lap top that I have that has a CD burner. I purchased a new product that will convert cassettes to CD and I can not down load the program because I have no room left on the lap top. So I figured since I do not use it any more and I am really only going to need it for this why not restore to factory.

How big is the hard drive? In addition to needing room for the software, you are going to need room to store the audio before it is burned to the CD. A typical audio CD is approx 650 megabytes so you will need at least that much extra space available on the drive.

How about getting an external drive?
