Excel Date formating from raw data

Specs: Windows XP

I am trying to format the dates in european format. But my data is not consistent. Cells have dates in different formats. example below.

I have tried date format function and custom format function but none of them is working.

Please urgently help!!

This is an office question, not an XP question. Neither did you specify which version of Excel you have, or what exactly you mean by European style.

In any case, select the cells you want to change, go to format/cell/date and select the region you want to conform to. I just did that with your samples, choosing Great Britain, and got:

Thanks for reply. I am using excel 2007. By European format, I meant Britsh style date. Same format of your results.

I did try using the method you suggested. Went to Format/Cells/Date and then selected format DD/MM/YYYY from the drop down menu. But it is not giving the same result as yours. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Would appreciate your kind help!
