"i need directX version 8.1 or higher" There should have been no need to download and install directx 8.1. The original version of Windows XP shipped with DirectX 8.1. Windows xp service pack 2 installs directx 9.0c from the get go.

I use Pazera Free Audio Extractor 1.4

It extracts audio from video as well converts audio files to different formats.

What is "driveboost" (or did you mean driver boost)?

Whatever I would steer clear of any "fix-all" programs because they are usually scams and often create more problems than they fix. If it's drivers you want, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website or that of the computer supplier.
