error repairing win xp

Specs: Windows XP PRO SP3, P 4 3Ghz/0.5 GB ram

i'm trying to repair win xp pro sp3.
i entered the win xp CD, pressed "R" to repair.
but at the beginning on the install, at 39 Min. i get "Error msg" saying "The signature for Windows XP Professional is invalid. The error code is 2".

i searched google for a solution but couldn't find any with code error 2. i saw several pages with differenrt errors than mine so they didn't help..

why is it i need to reapair it?
i can't enter windows, i can only get till the choose user screen but no further.
when i click my user name, it highlight it, write "loading your personal setting" but then suddendly stop, and returns to the choose user name screen (just as it was before i clicked my user name).

i tried safe mode, last known worked time ..
but still, same problem.

and if you want to know how did i get this error (it worked perfectly before i did that):

control panel->languages and regligions-> advance tab:
i wanted to change the unicode line to "japanise"
but the japanise wasn't avaible to choose from.
so at the screen before it, there is an option to install east languages (incluse korean chanies and japanise, maybe also thai)

after i clicked to install it, i was requested to put the win xp CD.
so i put win xp SP1 CD (i have SP3 OS)
and continued, it started to install only for 2 seconds (and it said before it needed 240 MB) and stoped, request the win XP SP3 CD (unfourtuntly i didn't have it) so i clicked cancel.
but even though it didn't completely install it (or should i say bearly install anything), when i rechecked the unicode language option, to change it to japanised, as i wanted. i saw that the japanise language did appear, unlike before.
so i chose it.
restarted. and the i couldn't past the user choosing screen.
