mef, I suspect you're trying to open it with the wrong critter. IE should be able to open it. I use Irfanview (free @ http://www.irfanview.com ) which I feel is superior and a really excellent graphics proggie. In any case, RIGHTCLICK on the file and when the menu appears, select 'open using' and name your poison. When you're happy with things check the 'always use' box and it'll never happen again. HTH.
