e-mail printing

April 7, 2010 at 21:05:31
Specs: Windows XP
When highlighting a portion of an e-mail and
right clicking, all I get is copy and a couple of
other things and nothing happens when I click
on copy, even when I have WordPad open. I
can only get it to print when I click on print and
that is the entire page. Many times I only
want a part, not all of the piece. I used to be
able to do that. What gives?

High-light the bit you want, right click and select COPY, open the word processor, in the Edit drop down menu select PASTE or right click the blank page and select PASTE.

After selecting the text, instead of choosing the 'print' button, try file and select print from there and you should be given the option to check off 'selection' from there (depending on email software).
If you continue to have problems, you may have an infection, or you have a corrupted file and updating the software MIGHT help.

Thanks for the help guys. Ewen: Yours worked, thanks.
Fingers: Couldn't find "file" on the inbox page.

Sorry, I'm using Mozilla's Thunderbird these days for email and it uses these traditional headings (File, Edit, etc.) and I did say 'depending on your software' though.
