downloading a fix for XP on a Vista

April 7, 2010 at 21:12:44
Specs: Windows Vista SP1, Intel Core 2Duo/3GB
I downloaded the fixntldriso.exe file to fix my missing NTLDR issue. Now I need to download an ISO Recorder and it asks me what system I am running. Of course I am not on my system now - I am on a Vista SP1. Which system does it want to know - this one, or the one I will be putting disc on?

Thanks for any assistance. I am sure it seems obvious, but I just don't know.

My logic does not work well when it comes to computers. Of course the fix was for my XP and the ISO recorder was to be used on the VISTA, so I incorrectly thought when asked what system I am running, that it was a current question. I thank you again for your time.

The ISO recorder is used to burn the ISO image to a CD. Since your XP system isn't working at the moment, you'll need to create the CD on the Vista system. Even though the "Fix" is for your XP system, what you're being asked is "On which system will you be running the ISO recorder?" The answer is the Vista system.
