Hello,

Can you take a look at my PC pit-stop test and tell me how to optimize my computer... Because it's not as fast as it used to be. I'm on dial-up and the download speed used to be upwards to 3 or 4 kbps and now I'm only getting close to 1 or 2 kbps... I'm posting my test page. http://pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.as...

Thank You,
Michael

Try running the custom Windows or Microsoft update and update any hardware updates that might appear for your modem. Then open IE and select tools, internet options, browsing history and set it to 50, thgen select OK, then apply and exit tools For you system restore settings, if you like having it turned on, you need to open system restore by selecting properties of My Computer and set the slider to say 5%. Hello capt,

I did what you said and it's working fine now... Thx :-) BTW, I thought that if you put more to the system restore that it would (for me at least) make the computer slow down... Why did you say put more to the system restore?

Thank You,
Michael
