Hey there programmer,

I am currently building a program as a prank for my co-worker. Basically when they turn on their computer and logon, it fills their screen with a gray form, with a large button. This button will shut their computer down. After they leave, I enter a keycode, and the program self destructs. All I need to know is how to disable the ctrl alt delete function and the Start key.

I have tried "windowhooks" and they do not work. Visual Basic 6

Programmaticly you can't. You have to do it with GPEDIT.MSC and you have to do it as administrator of the computer. The file is located...

Regular users can't do it. If it is a personal computer then that is another story because most users login with admin rights but most Anti Viruses will block this.

That being said, this is considered (at least where I work) against the acceptable use policy and would get you fired.

I agree. If you decide to pursue this, start looking for another job.

There was a program called "Wicked Windows" for 95 and 98 but works in xp.

My favorite is when you click a bleeding bullet hole appears.

I agree with the above.....choice 1. Job choice 2. joke
