Specs: Windows XP
On my desktop the icons are showing blue shade
how to remove the shade.

rajeshreddy.katta, is it like a shadow or the icon itself? Shadow is an option you can select/deselect in appearance(?) whereas, if the icon itself is blue, that signifies it's selected. My guess in that case would be that you have a mechanical problem (keyboard?).
Try hitting return (enter) and see if it goes away.

Go to control panel,
click system,
click advanced,
against performance click on settings,
click let windows choose what is best for my computer,
(ensure all items are enabled in the lower portion of window
especially item,
use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop)
press ok.
