Make sure the Num Lock light is not on.

Can you get into Safe mode.

When you F8, do you get Debugging Mode?
If so select it & press > Enter.

Hi,

It is due to keyboard drivers are not present/disabled. Since windows may not need specific drivers of its own brand, you can stilll access your machine if you connect keyboard from microsoft. While to detect devices from other brands needs specific driver softwares.

A little extreme, probably a little premature.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.
