I have a Dell Dimension 8300 and it did display that exact same error once when I was trying to resume from hibernation. I just had to restart the PC a few times, then it booted up fine and didn't have a problem since. Ask and Answer. The way of learning.

Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3.20 GHz

Nvidia Geforce FX5200
Thanks RMT2, been trying on off for days, no good, always go back to same problem.
You could also check the diagnostic lights at the back of the PC. After the error appears, look on the back and you should see 4 lights. Are all of them green, or are 1-4 of them orange? Ask and Answer. The way of learning.

Sounds like the hdd is dying. Was it a gift as in a Birthday gift? Or did someone just give it to you cause they didn't want it any longer? Perhaps they were having problems with it and that's why they gave it to you. :) If the drive is the problem, all you really need to do is buy another drive and use the Recovery Disk to reinstall the OS. (Hopefully you have that disk.)
Hi, By and large, system files which are missing or infected with viruses can result in a Dell no boot situation. In that case, we can assist you to find the missing DLL files. If by chance, your Dell PC is not booting then we can try to use certain commands to boot in Safe Mode. At times, Windows OS may not allow you to boot in Safe Mode.
Apart from this, Dell no boot issue may occur if the disc drive or a USB drive is in use. This can happen if the bootable device order is modified. To get rid of this issue, we can suggest you to change the bootable device order from BIOS and allow the hard drive to boot along with Windows OS.
