Specs: Windows XP, 250 MB
I was cleaning my system and found a folder named "New Folder" on my C:\ I copied it to my external hard drive. I was wondering if it is safe to delete it off my laptop which is XP Porfessional. My desktop is XP Home. From what I understand X1AHCCP_EN is an XP HOME upgrade? When I bought my laptop it had XP on installed and I purchased XP Professional and installed it. (this was back in 2004) The date on the folder in question is 12.6.2004. I'm not sure how this "new Folder got there, I don't remeber. Thanks for any help

It might become important if you decide to remove XP PRO and sell the Laptop. If the Laptop came with earlier OS than XP Home you may need the file to reload using Original restore CD's

I don't know what function it serves, possibly saved for return to XP Home.

Rename the Folder .old and leave it for few weeks. If all goes well you should be able to delete it..

Your ID of the file appears to be correct by this link.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.
