Decrypt a file encrypted with EFS

Specs: Windows XP Pro SP3
I have an old WinXP EFS-encrypted file on my computer I would like to decrypt, however, I can't seem to gain access to the account that created it. The account it was encrypted under was a domain account from a previous domain, and the domain controllers don't even exist anymore. The computer has changed domains twice and went to a workgroup once since then.

The user account still exists in 'Documents and Settings' and the user's SID is still listed as part of the Administrators group.

I know all of the following information:
The original user's domain and username
The original user's password
The original user's SID

However, no matter what I try, I can't seem to log on as that domain\username anymore to get to the file.

Is it possible to recover the file?

DecryptMeNot, sorta bamboozles me personally, but Google returns a lot. Look @:
