Specs: Windows XP
I rarely use my D drive but i recently bought a
game and when i put the CD in the drive it would
not read it. I robbed the drive off another computer
knowing that it works. When i put it on my PC it
would also not read. So it must be my computer?
I really have no idea what the problem could be.

Not enough info. Are these SATA or IDE drives? If IDE, are you making sure you have the jumpers properly configured? Are the drives being recognized by the BIOS?

Did you download/install drivers for these drives?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

You indicate you are using a recycled CD-ROM drive and you just bought a new game. Are you sure the new game is on a CD and not a DVD? Are you maybe trying to read a DVD in a drive that only supports CDs?
