Hi, I am running windows xp, and lately have been having some odd problems. Some days the mouse will not work properly, anytime i click it acts like i am right clicking, and wont click on certain things at all. I discovered if i hit control alt delete to bring up task running box, and just exit out, the mouse will work properly for about a minute until it stops...anyways my question is i feel my computer is too bogged down with junk i don't use, and is very slow. I basically want to customize my computer to have word, my files, my music, and a few programs i use. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? I really want to avoid doing a system restore, because i don't want to lose all of my files and such. It would be ideal if there is a way i could basically wipe out everything else on my computer. Thank you for any help!

What kind of mouse is it ? Is it wireless ?
Run a program like CC cleaner to clean out junk. Check the frgamentation level of your hard drive. How much space do you have left on the hard drive ?
Run antivirus and spyware scans.
