An unusual problem? Windows XP with Fast-User Switching. I understand normal behaviour is that Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work (to bring up login dialog) after switching out of an account...it only works after rebooting or logging out of an account. I've often wondered why in creation it works this way..."by design" or a bug left unfixed?
I was using the (normally hidden) Administrator account and accidently swicthed out back to the login screen (at least I think that's what happened). Now the account i was using is not listed and Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing and ATM there is no other account i can log into and logoff so I can used Ctrl-Alt-Del
Is there a way (from the login screen) to get login dialog without Ctrl-Alt-Del or to switch back to the account I was using, without rebooting?
Thanks!

Right, when was saying Ctrl-Alt-Del, I meant Ctrl-Alt-Del-Del (which didnt work), sorry. Thanks, anyway.

Does it go back to 'normal' after rebooting? If not try system restore to go back to a prior date that it was working correctly. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
Yes. Situation resolved. I just wondered why theres this odd (to me anyway) quirk with Fast-User-Swtiching, that Ctrl-Alt-Del-Del doesnt work after switching out of a user, and if there is an alternative that would work when Ctrl-Alt-Del-Del doesnt (to bring up login dialog or get into a user).
