connection problems with IE7 Offline

Specs: N/A
After a period of inactivity (ex:a few hrs or overnight) when I try to open Internet explorer I get a message that says i'm offline. I follow the directions to check connectivity to detect connection problems. It says everything is fine and directs how to enable it to online mode, and it works for the time being. But this has happened several times since. I scan & update my computer daily & no virus is detected. How do I keep it in online mode?

I think they want you to install a REAL web browser.

Friends don't let friends use IE.

Get Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, ANYTHING else.

I've never had a problem with IE in the many years I've used it.
Thanks for your response, but I need a real answer that applies to IE.

I'm with you sfrisch8, and I prefer IE to Firefox. Different strokes for different folks.
But as for the problem, have you tried a System restore to a point before the problem started.

You might try some Googling with searches something like 'IE7 offline'.
