connection error

Specs: Windows XP
I can't install the software for lifecam 3.5

the error reads:

"setup cannot continue cause you are not connected to the internet or the server is unavailable. connect to the internet and run setup again. during the setup process accept any firewall messages, if this is unsuccessful please try again later"

If you are trying to Run the installation of the software from the internet, that won't work properly if your internet connection is poor.
You are better off Saving the installation download to your computer.


Choose Webcams

Choose your Lifecam model

Choose your operating system

Click on the red button to Download the software.

Click on Save, not Run - save the installation file to your computer - note where it's saved to.

It doesn't matter if that downloads slowly if your internet connection is poor - once it has fully downloaded the software installation will work fine.

DO NOT plug in the Lifecam into a USB port until AFTER you have installed the software for it.

Go to where the installation file is saved to, and run it.
