connecting aol to my computer

Specs: Windows XP
i had high speed internet, my computer has an ethernet hook up on the back of the computer. its been a long time since i used aol and cannot remember how to install the wiring from phone to computer. now that i only have an ethernet hook up on the back of the computer how would this work for aol. i am not able to afford high speed for now, thats why i am wanting to try aol again

To be able to use dial-up, you will need to install a 56k PCI modem card. There are also external USB or serial port modems. External serial port types are best, but also most expensive.

I don't know what AOL is charging for dial-up these days, but don't pay more than $10 per month. In fact, do NOT use AOL at all...there are plenty of other providers out there that are MUCH better. Remember, you do NOT need any special software to connect to the internet via a dial-up connection...all you need is a phone number, logon ID & password.

And do NOT pay extra for "web acceleration".
