Computer will not authenticate password

March 21, 2015 at 13:18:27
Specs: Windows xp, 512
I bought a Netgear EX2700 wireless extender. It works fine but every time I shut down the computer and power up it connects to the main router (does not ask for PW and has weak signal) when I switch over to the extender it ask for a password every time. I thought once it knew the password it would connect automatically.

See if you can get the answer this way.

Here is a start.

netgear ex2700 wireless extender password

"You can now connect your wireless devices to the Extender’s new SSID. The extender’s wireless network name (SSID) changed to your existing WiFi network name with “_EXT” at the end. Password to be used will be the same WiFi password on your main router.

Example:

Existing WiFi Network name (SSID): MyHomeNetwork
New Extender WiFi Network name (SSID): MyHomeNetwork_EXT

Note: If your wireless devices has a WPS feature; just press the WPS button on the EXT and within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your wireless device to instantly connect them without typing the wireless password."

OKay, I don't have any problem connecting just don't want to type in the password every time I boot up my computer, I think I figured out by making all other networks a manual sign in so now the extender is automatic hook up for this computer - thanks
