Specs: Windows XP Professional 32
Turned my computer on today and it took unusually long time to load windows. I logged into my user like normal and found the user had been reset. It came up as if I had just installed windows. It said take a tour of windows etc. All my data is still in Documents and settings but the user has been reset and settings and stuff are back to default. Now the Pc is really slow and says windows is not responding all the time.

1. Have you done a virus scan?
2. Have you tried System Restore?

Most Virus and Spyware scans are likely to work better in Windows Safe-Mode.

May have a corrupted User Account ???
