Specs: Windows xp
hi after trying to get rid of a virus my F8 safe mode wasnt working because of getting stuck on avgrkx86.sys (avg antivirus program)..... so after trying to unistall avg (via bypassing the virus quickly) it still didn't work bacause i missed an avg file so... i turn on the computer normally and went on to run:misconfig and then ticked the safe mode box so it will enter safe mode when restarting....
. .... after restarting it entered the F8 MENU automatically and safe mode still didn't work so it just rebooted itself automatically.. knowing it wasn't working i tried to click normal start up but that doesn't work now and after a little while it reboots itself and enters the F8 menu again
IM STOCK IN A LOOP
I REALLY DONT NO WHAT TO DO I'VE TRIED EVERY BUTTTON ON THE F8 MENU AND THEY DON'T WORK HOW DO I GET OUT THE LOOP???

hopefully i'm making sence
tom

The virus was most likely a Rootkit which damaged some of your system files. You have to do a repair install of Windows.
