helo sir,

cmos settings are not saved even if changed new one battary why?

When you modify the BIOS Settings, you need to press F10 + Y + ENTER to save the settings...

Or the battery is either no good, installed up side down, or contacts are not tight.

Make sure the battery type is a CR2032. Other types the motherboard will simply refuse the battery and hence you will not be able to save any bios information. Some motherboards are picky.

Actually, make sure the battery is the correct type for whatever motherboard you're using. Although a CR2032 is the usual battery for most desktops, others are also used.

Laptops are a whole nuther story.
