Specs: Windows XP
hi,

i have a PC laptop, and my WI-FI is not working. But that's not the problem the problem is that my account is for some reason a limited account not the administrator. it was before but some how got changed. i need to crack my other password that i forgot so i have searched what i am supposed to do many times and so far i have come up with "clean install windows xp without CD " (my laptop only has a USB port not a CD drive.) All the places Ive gone to have said i still need to be the administrator. I guess what im saying is "how do i crack my other account for windows xp that is the administrator account??

please help, thanks!!! :)

Not obvious how you'd install XP without a CD drive.

How did you install it the first time?

Asus Eee comes with a restore disc. Did you get it new or second hand?

If your BIOS will allow booting from USB, I there is a way to install XP from a flash drive. I just Googled this and here a a few of the links I found. Read them and/or google yourself, when you decide which is best for you, go for it.

DO NOT REINSTALL! Save your stuff by using http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpa...

I have used it to login to machines that I have setup for others. I have provided support to fix their intermittent issues but don't record their admin account credentials.

This little program has saved me a lot of work. But you'll have to read the instructions first, then download the file image and burn to CD for booting. It's supposed to work with USB drive booting also.

DO NOT REINSTALL just to login in again. Total waste of your valuable time.

If the installation is so srewed up that he has a limited acct and no admin rights, it's WAY overdue for a meritorious reinstall.

You can waste much more time doingm a piecemeal fixup that a new install.
