How can i disable chekdsk at startup after a bad shutdown

Normally if you let it run it's course it will stop. If you keep stopping it it will continue to try to run at start-up.

If it runs even after the full running then the proper way to stop the chkdsik from running is :

Open command prompt and type the following:

chkntfs /x c: then press enter

(substitute the c: for whatever partion/drive your operating system is on)

If you have 2 drive, C and D, you can disable chkdsk with the command below

chkntfs /x c: d: and then press enter
