August 17, 2011 at 11:15:04
Specs: Windows Vista
I installed XP okay but now I can't connect to the internet. I have a router that is working because I can connect with my laptop. I try to install the router with the cd and it keeps saying "No working network adapter was detected". How can I fix this?

Thanks!!

Have you install your pc network card drivers?

Check device manager

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.

"No working network adapter was detected"

That's because you haven't installed the drivers for it. And if that driver is missing, there are probably others.

The network adapter listed in the device manager is 1394 network adapter and it says it is working properly.

That is not used for internet.

I think you need to install chipset drivers first.
