changed floppy drive to none still have seek

November 1, 2011 at 19:24:26
Specs: Windows XP
After changing Drive A to NONE it is still booting up with diskette drive 0 seek failure. I saved it after I changed it. Why is it still doing the same thing? I am able to use my computer after I changed that setting. My date and time is messed up too.

Likely a CMOS/BIOS battery failure. The "messed-up time and date settings" is the big indicator. It's probably not "holding" the settings after you make them in the BIOS.
