If the CD-ROM is not even rotating disks then there is no magic fix. You either have to replace it (recommended) or try to repair it.

It seems like it, if it is not rotating disks.

Can you see it the drive in "Computer"?

Have you tried several good CD's?

Yes i can see it in device manager did a update on the drive and it also says that the device is working. The cd rom light flashes, but when i put it in it does not open not even if i go to my computer, its there and when i try open it it ejects the cd .

I have tried various other cd's new ones but nothing!

Well, about the only thing I can suggest is that you go to Device Manager, expand to see the name of the drive then right click and "Uninstall". Reboot and it will reload the driver software.

Other than that, it might be the drive itself but unfortunately I can't be certain.

Turn off laptop and then try to power it up. At that moment try to press the cd open button a few times. It may open then.

I guess you could have put the cd in a bit off and not is jammed in.
