The CD drive is stuck and won't open. I went in thru the computer and was able to open a couple times but nothing works now. There is no small hole for a paper clip (or tooth pick). The only small hole is one to the left which has a headphone sign over it. I tried a tooth pick in there but nothing happened.
Hope someone can help me?????
Is this a laptop? If a desktop I never saw a full height drive without that hole. Optical drives are disposable parts. Buy a new drive and when you have the old one out you can pry it open to retrieve a disk, if necessary.
I agree with Othehill. First try just removing it and putting it back in. It 'might' just be poor contact with the power connectors. The three most important things in computing:
1. Backups, 2. Backups and 3. Backups.
