Specs: Windows XP, P3/512
getting 2 error message boxes at pc start-up.
first says - "error (in upper left corner)
line:0 pos:0
XML document must have a top level element"
then there's an OK button.
after i click either OK or X to close the box,
a second box appears. it says -
"error (in upper left corner)
initialization error"
then there's an OK button.

this seemed to come from nowhere about 2 weeks ago.
whether i click OK or the X to close the boxes,
the start-up continues.
pc is running slow and i wonder if this is to blame
and how do i get rid of the 2 boxes permanently.

thanks for your time.

Most Virus and Spyware scans are likely to work better in
Windows Safe-Mode.

Microsoft says to be safer by never clicking any part of an
unknown popup, but use Alt + F4 to close it.
Programs that start at startup are on the Startup tab in
msconfig. You can uncheck items in the list without
affecting computer operation. That way you can find what
may be causing the errors.
Do Start, then Run, then type msconfig
