can't start computer normally

Specs: Windows XP
I couldn't restart in Safe Mode by pressing F8 when Avast 6 installed so i choosed Safe Boot in Start Up menu to restart in Safe Mode.But after this i couldn't enter into Safe Mode even into Normal Mode.I have choosed Last good known configuration but failed to start normally.Now i can't enter in my computer.How to start normally the computer/inSafe mode to do anything to repair the computer?My BIOS is Award Software.The OS is XP SP3.

Are you using a USB or wireless keyboard? If so, try using a PS/2 type to enter Windows safe mode at start up.

Then what do you expect to happen? You need to install an operating system.

Post the model of your computer and how you formatted the C partition.
