Cant fix Dell Mini screen resolution

Specs: Windows XP
I have xp on my Dell mini and I have tried everything already... like sliding the bar to the right resolution and it only slides too high or too low, I have tried to do a system restore, I have tried reinstalling the drivers online (I dont have a cd drive) I am at witts end. The manual says it should be set at 1024x576 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol...

Go to the Dell site, download the latest graphics drivers, install, then adjust the resolution.

I already did that as stated in my posting... I just got a at home job and need this back to normal asap! I don't even know how this happened..lol.. I just opened it up one day and it was messed up..

It sounds like you're trying to install drivers over the top of corrupt drivers. You could try this. Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Next choose the hardware tab and then Device Manager. Look for Display Adapters and click the + sign. Your device should be displayed. Right click it and choose Uninstall. Reboot and now your display will be very large, because there are only vga drivers present. Remember where you put the driver file you downloaded from Dell. Now click that file and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work, you may have a problem with your gpu on the board, at which point, it's time for the repair shop or a new laptop. Good Luck.
