October 12, 2012 at 11:17:33
Specs: Windows XP SP3, Pent 4/2.4 GHz
Problem started with NTLDR MISSING. Tried several suggestions to solve this. Tried a boot disc I made that is supposed to work. . Found in BIOS all boot devices disabled. Have tried many suggestions from internet searches to enable devices but no luck. Spotmau.com says they can't solve BIOS problem.

I too have no idea what #1 above means.

I suggest you stay away from Spotmau.com.

Are you sure about your above statements? If you are getting NTLDR missing, the hard drive is probably being detected.

Post the full model number of your computer. How are you getting to the BIOS screens?

I think that's Indian jargon. Cell = battery, CPU = computer or computer tower. Even so, it's a poorly worded description of how to reset the BIOS.

"NTLDR MISSING" is a Windows problem. As OtheHill stated, "If you are getting NTLDR missing, the hard drive is probably being detected." Are you familiar with BIOS settings?

I can only assume that in #1 "cell" meant BIOS/CMOS battery.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
