Can't delete a folder.

Specs: Windows XP, 2Gb
I have a file in my shared documents that I
can't delete, can somebody please help me?

This folder is on my XP desktop computer in
shared documents.

I can open the folder, but not the subfolders,
and I can't delete any of it.
When I try to delete, it says "Cannot delete
'subfolder': access is denied. Make sure the
disk is not full or write-protected and that the
file is not currently in use."
When I try to open the subfolders, it says

I've tried to change permissions on my Vista
laptop, but doesn't quite work.

rachiepie6, SWAG, suspect 'shared folders' is the deal. Since another user has access, my guess is that only a user with administrator access can manipulate it.

You could try booting into safe mode and trying to delete from there ... or if that doesnt work and you really want rid of the folder, boot into a live linux CD and delete it that way.

Move on boot should delete it.
