cant access search engines

Specs: Windows XP
All of my search engines do not work. I have ran malwarebytes, spy-bot and avg 2013. Nothing has fixed it. Please help

Please explain what you mean exactly when you say they "do not work".
Also, which web browser they do not work on (IE or Firefox, or both).

If IE, try this:

*Go to Tools, Internet Options.
*Click the "Content" Tab
*Click the "AutoComplete" button
*Under "Use autocomplete for" uncheck the box that says "Forms" and click OK in both the boxes.

Now close and re-open IE.

firefox and IE8. it tells me server is not found on firefox and IE says its a connection issue

yes, I just cant search anything using google, bing, yahoo, or ask

Then I suggest you remove the link to the non functioning search engine and then recreate a new link. In Firefox you use the mange search engines option to do that. There is a list of your current search engines and an option to get more.

have already done that - it didnt work. the site google.com, bing, com ect doesnt work - says the server is not found

Try running combo fix....be certain to disable avg before running it.
