Specs: Windows XP, 2Gb
I have a website I want to access ( but it is not loading because something on the computer is conflicting with it. I have turned all firewalls off, etc. and still no luck. I contacted their admin and they could not figure it out either even with some log utility tools - they said it wasn't a firewall issue. It is not a router issue either as we have a 2nd laptop in the house that connects to the website successfully.

The website says the followingL
to use you must have ports 943 and 4502-4520 open for
I ran netstats -an and I cannot find any of those ports blocked so I am not sure what is left to check. I uninstalled and reinstalled Silverlight, which this website needs and that didn;t help either.

ANy ideaS?

I just tried to go there when using FF3.5.5 and received a message to please install Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. I have no interest in the site so I didn't click through.

Do you know of any tools I could use to check what might be conflicting with the website or if anything is blocking the ports?

I tried a couple of tcp tools but none of the ports are used so not sure what to troubleshoot now...

go to Shields Up! to test your ports

specifically what is the error you are getting?

shields up has all those ports blocked but I can't figure out why.
We have 2 laptops.
Laptop 1 wirless connection + COMODO connects to the website correctly.
Laptop 2 wireless connection + COMODO does not connect to the website.

With COMODO turned off, it doesn't connect either. That rules out the router causing a problem and rules out COMODO causing a problem.

The error is their standrad custom error page saying I have to have those ports open to run it but as far as I can tell the ports are open on the pc.
