Canon S330 says black ink low with new cartri

Specs: Windows XP
After trying to print a document, a message comes up saying the black ink is low. I changed the ink cartridge but the message continues to come up saying the ink is low. After a few tries, it then showed a window saying there was no paper...yet there is plenty of paper installed. Please help. Thanks.

remove all cartridges and blow out with canned air. reseat the carts and try again. if it continues with no change take it to a printer repair place.

dshark, Wanderer may well have it right. One more step if it doesn't work I'd try before taking it in. Sometimes things get their 'heads' scrambled. I'd disconnect the printer for a while and turn the computer off. Plug the printer back in to the computer and reboot. See if it's detected correctly.
