I'm unable to open media files (video n audio) by just double-clicking them. I have to right click it and give the "Open with" command to open it using my media player (JetAudio). When i double-click it nothing comes. The screen remains unchanged.

jyothisjohn, When you right click one of those files and choose Open with and select JetAudio make sure that you checkmark the Always use the selected program etc. box at the botton before clicking Ok.

jyothisjohn, I don't have JetAudio but does it have file associations settings within the program itself to checkmark? Which file extensions are you having the problem with? Have you gone into Folder Options>File Types tab?

Yes it does when we install it. Its set to jetAudio even in the "File Types" tab in Folder Options. I'm having trouble with all the audio and video files like mp3,avi,mpg,divx etc etc...

Yes these are the extensions that can be opened by jetAudio but none of these can be opened by double-clicking it. The only solution is to give the Open With option and clicking on jetAudio every time i want to enjoy the media,
