have a ten year old hp laptop. how can i get virus protection for it. i haven't been able to get on teh internet. i have a seven year ld wireless card?
Ofcourse you can use a ten year old laptop if its working. Is there any reason as to why you cannot get the internet?

You didnt mention which Operating System (OS) your old computer is having. Anyhow you can check the below link

A couple of notes:
1st, some laptops have a "switch" for wireless on the keyboard, usually above the function keys. If you find one, make sure it is turned "on".
2nd, you may need to "Create a new connection" in Network Connections -- a one-time-only procedure.Until you provide some more info, there is not much any of us can suggest. You state "Windows 7" above, but we all know a 10-yr old laptop is not likely to cut it. You are posting in the General XP Forum, so...what is it? It's an HP, but what else can you tell us?
