Specs: Windows XP, Intel Pentium III/512 RAM
I need to optimize my RAM. Can I delete C++? I do not write any code except when I do blogs, I may write html code. Thus, I am stil not doing any programming. I don;t use Outlok Express either. In other words, what Microsoft programs can I safely eliminte with no repercussions?

If you do not want C++ on your PC then use add/remove from your control panel to uninstall it.

Outlook Express is normally bundled with Internet Explorer so I would leave it alone.

It would help if we new what Microsoft Programs you have installed on your PC.

When everything else fails, read the instructions.

Thanks for your answer mosaddique. However, I know how to remove C++ by uninstall, just wanted to know if it was in my best interest befoer I do it. I want to regain some memory and I do not write program code. PC is quite slow even though (I ahev optimized using Allume XP Boost, Reg Cure, and ran Malwarebytes. I will leave Outlook alone.

This is my son's PC. Mine is packed up while work is being done in my apartment. On my PC, which runs AMD Athlon 64, I use Linux and OpenOffice. I have but do not want to remove Office 2003 suite -- I only installed what I needed. OpenOffice uses more space for what I need.

Microsoft programs installed are: WINZip, MSN (my son uses--I don't need), Windows Live, Windows Messenger, hotmail which is bundled with Bing, XP, Internet Explorer, Office 2003 (WORD, Excel, Powerpoint)

I plan to remove Java since I only installed it for the Scan to work for my computing net (launch.jnlp). It uses about 95 MB. Does not appear as new program in my All Programs folder on Start menu, but appears in Control Panel, so I know it is installed. Besides, Scan would not have worked without it.
