can cleaning Win XP registry delete pictures?

Specs: Windows XP
Hp photosmart essentials 3.0 had hundreds of photos, and now the entire library is empty, any help would be appreciated.

The photos ought to be there somewhere but the application may have been damaged.

Try a restore point to a time before you did this cleaning.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Cleaning the registry will not delete pictures but it may cause an applications to have no knowledge of them.

Registry cleaners should be avoided because they generally cause more problems than they solve.

Just search for *.jpg to find where the pictures are stored.

The restore point is 2 days after the last time Hp photosmart essentials 3.0 was accessed, which strangely enough is the same day I cleaned the registry, but thanks for the replies.
