BT Speedway ISDN TA with Win XP

Specs: Windows XP
I have recently bought a used BT Speedway ISDN TA in order to carry out remote programming of Panasonic and Siemens phone systems (this was recommended to me, as the US Robotics TA that I was using before was not recognised by the programming utilities of Panasonic and Siemens, although it worked fine for NEC and Aastra). My laptop has Win XP and when I try to use the CD which was supplied with the Speedway (Windows 95/98) I get a Windows Help message saying: Cannot find or run the file or program "rundl sysdm.cpl,INSTALLDEVICE_RUNDLL". I've tried lloking on the BT website but without success.

do the following command to find the file...

dir sysdm.cpl /s

Take note of where the file is then set the path to include that directory with the following command...

set path=%path%;c:\whatever\

the ; will append the directory to the path. Now try to reinstall. If this does not work you will probably need to run it on a Windows 98 box because the driver is too old to support current OS. I would simply install a Windows 98 Virtual Machine.

Note: Not tested, I didn't even know they still made ISDN modems. That tech is way old.
